First Large Scale Display of Electric Lights

Moses Farmer of Salem who invented Edison’s light bulb and was the first to light a home by electricity worked with Tesla and Edison who he met on the North Shore of Boston to light up the world fair. Edison refused to sell light bulbs to Westinghouse and Tesla so they bought bulbs from Farmer instead. During the fair Farmer would die. This is the fair from the book The Devil and the White City.

I suffered typhoid poisoning as Speaker of the House defending Andrew Jackson’s Bank War after he visited Stephen White of Salem. White was the banker behind Senator Daniel Webster who was Secretary of State for President Harrison who died one month into office of typhoid. In my presidency I was against a third national bank and created an Independent Treasury governed by Congress. For this I will be assassinated 3 months after leaving the presidency by typhoid by Daniel Webster and Henry Clay. A doctor who was at the death of Harrison of typhoid was on the river boat where I caught my own dose.

Haunted Knapp House

How is this House Connected to the Clue Board Game

Haunted Knapp House from Salem Ma. Joseph Knapp Sr. lived here while his two sons were standing trial and later hanged for a murder they did not commit. This was the murder case that inspired Parker Brother’s version of Clue. The house is haunted. A previous owner actually moved the house back one lot hoping the ghost would stay on the property and not in the house, but the proposal failed and the house is still haunted.
