Alien Shot and Killed at Fort Dix

Welcome back to my blog about balloons, rocket ships, airplanes, space travel, Star Wars, sci-fi, and everything about flying! My friend and illustrator of my book used to see a star out of his window above Fort Dix when he was my age. It was too low in the sky to be a star and too high to be a street light on a hill in the distance. He said he had seen the star in the summer from the time his parents moved in their house in 1976 and he seen it the next year also. Then the summer of 1978 it did not return. When he was in High School he heard someone tell a tall tale about an alien getting shot trying to climb a fence between Fort Dix and Maguire Air Force Base. He did not believe him at first, but then he told him the alien got shot in January 5 days before his birthday in 1978. Then he scratched his head. Well here is a retired major talking about that alien.

10 Reasons Why I Wish I Had Seen the Despicable Me Blimp

Welcome back to my blog about balloons, rocket ships, airplanes, space travel, Star Wars, sci-fi, and everything about flying! I heard about this too late to see it in real life, but it seems that the producers of Despicable Me 2 built a minion balloon to fly up the east coast to help promote the opening of the film. I always liked those little yellow Tylenol critters. Now here is the 10 reason why I wish I had seen the blimp.

  1. I loved the movie.
  2. Who wouldn’t want a giant eyeball staring at them from the sky.
  3. It would take the fear out of Big Brother watching.
  4. M y father told me to write this, but I do not understand… “Taking old one eye to the optometrist. “
  5. Seeing a big happy smile in the sky would make me smile even more.
  6. Who wouldn’t want to see a minion float by…
  7. It would of made me believe in the fabulous.
  8. It would of been magical.
  9. I expected it to deflate and shoot around like a balloon in a Looney Toon cartoon.
  10. I want them to drop me a giant string so I could pretend it was my own balloon.

Now below you can watch the building and the launching of the Despicable Me 2 Despicablimp.
